Dear Sportsmobile enthusiast,
The Healey Sportsmobile is a 2+2-seater, high speed "Dropflow Coupe". You feel the luxury if you enter the Sportsmobile. New in 1948, the large doors now hinged from the front. The body panelling was again in aluminium by Sam Morris and Co. The design was "like american style". The Healey Sportsmobile was a very exclusive car and very expensiv too. The result, only 25 cars are made.
Today this vehicle is an interesting technical and historical cultural asset. It is our task to keep and maintain this history.
With this register we have tried to collect as much information as possible about each of the 25 cars. We will try to show the story behind each car. From public events, publications and articles in the press, to interesting stories about drivers, owners and their cars.
If you take a look at the register you will notice that we are missing a lot of information. We would like to add more history and for this we need your help! We would be pleased to receive any information and pictures that will help to fill any gaps in the story.

Der Healey Sportsmobile ist ein 2+2sitziges Cabrio. Man fühlt förmlich den Luxus wenn man Platz nimmt. Völlig neu war, daß die großen Türen vorne angehängt waren. Die Karosserie war von Sam Morris und Co und wie bei den anderen Modellen, ebenfalls aus Aluminium. Der Healey Sportsmobile war ein sehr teueres Auto im amerikanischen Stil. Mehr als doppelt so teuer wie ein Healey Silverstone. Die Folge war, daß nur 25 bestellte Fahrzeuge produziert wurden.
Der Healey Sportmobile ist heute ein äußerst seltener Wagen. Weltweit dürften nur noch etwa 5 Exemplare vorhanden sein. Das ist die Aufgabe dieses Registers die Geschichte und den Verbleib aller 25 Fahrzeuge zu erforschen.
